 <p>In an earlier post from Litecoin (LTC) released on Dec. 21, the cryptocurrency engineered to facilitate swift, secure, and cost-effective <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="transactions" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/transactions.html">transactions</a>, reported that in the previous 24-hour period, it had exhibited more active addresses than the combined total of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), with 1.4 <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="million" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/million.html">million</a> on-chain <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="transactions" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/transactions.html">transactions</a> recorded in a single day.</p>

 <p>This coincided with a report from IntoTheBlock, a market intelligence platform highlighting Litecoin’s activity is experiencing a resurgence, with daily active addresses consistently surpassing Ethereum’s since the beginning of December.</p>
 <p>At press time, the current value of Litecoin is $72.10, reflecting a change of 11.1% over the past year, according to&nbsp;CoinMarketCap.</p>
 <p>The&nbsp;consistent growth in the altcoin&nbsp;is attributed to what prominent pro-Litecoin advocate Shan Belew suggests as the expectation for increased promotion once a Bitcoin ETF is approved next year. Litecoin, closely associated with Bitcoin, is already experiencing a surge in its network valuation, reaching the thousands.</p>
