 Daniel Batten, CH4 Capital co-founder, takes a different stance. He argues that Bitcoin mining aids in environmental healing. Batten cites evidence suggesting that Bitcoin mining supports the expansion of the renewable grid. 
 GreenpeaceUSA's facts and figures, Batten asserts, are misleading or outright false. Their assertion that the crypto mining industry heavily relies on coal is flawed. In reality, 41 known crypto mining operations use sustainable power, with only one operation using coal. 
 Batten also counters the claim of escalating "climate destruction" due to Bitcoin. He presents data showing that Bitcoin's emissions are on the decline, despite rising hashrate. This drop is due to the shift of mining activities to more sustainable grids, like in Texas, from coal-based grids like Kazakhstan. 
 Batten's fund invests in companies aiming to mine Bitcoin with purified landfill gas. This approach prevents methane pollution and supports the company's profitability. 
 As Batten concludes, Bitcoin could be a crucial player in environmental remediation, not the villain some make it out to be.
