<p>The Kamala Harris campaign was in touch with the organizers of the Bitcoin 2024 conference, which is scheduled to take place in Nashville, Tennessee, to secure her participation in the event.</p>
<p>David Bailey, the CEO of Bitcoin Magazine, which hosts the event, confirmed these talks on the social media platform X on July 24, but Harris seems to have backed out now.</p>

<p>In a recent post, by Bailey, he has now confirmed that Harris will not be speaking at the conference anymore. He further added that this does not come as a surprise since “<strong>she’s actively imprisoning developers, forcing our (crypto) industry overseas, attacking PoW</strong>“</p>
<p>This leaves all eyes on Trump now, he added.</p>

<p>Former President and Republican candidate, Donald Trump, who has been engaging with the crypto community, is expected to address the conference.</p>

<p>President Joe Biden endorsed Kamala as the Democratic presidential candidate in the next election after he declined to run. US politicians’ participation at Bitcoin2024 underlines the increasing role of the crypto market in the presidential campaign.</p>
<p>While Trump focused on the idea of an even more liberal approach to cryptocurrencies, the Biden campaign is considered more cautious. This consequently, also defines the difference between the two campaigns.</p>

<p>Surprisingly, however, Harris’s advisors have engaged with the Mark Cuban, for advice on matters to do with crypto. He mentioned the Harris’s team reached out a number of times, which he sees as a good sign of her interest in the industry.</p>
<p>Cuban, quite outspoken on the topic of a better environment for emerging technologies, states Harris may be slightly better for the crypto community than the current regime.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This engagement of Harris with key personalities in the tech industry points towards the fact that she is planning to create a policy supporting the crypto as part of her campaign.</p>

<p>The Digital Chamber has called on Kamala Harris to embrace the crypto industry during her presidential bid. In a letter addressed to Harris, the group encouraged the promotion of a healthy conversation with the crypto industry. Moreover, they urge her to include positive words about crypto in the Democratic Party’s platform.</p>
<p>Consequently, this lobbying effort represents the industry’s need for clear regulations and support not seen during the Biden administration.</p>

<p>Thus, the Chamber’s appeal to Harris suggests that the community considers her as a chance to re-establish the party’s position.</p>

<p>While Harris’s advisors meetings with Cuban may signal a change in the party’s stance on crypto, her not showing up at the conference has definitely stirred up a storm. &nbsp;</p>
<p>Harris has yet to make a public statement regarding her position on crypto but her actions suggest that she is open to the possibilities of the sector.</p>
