As the 2024 elections get closer, Democratic politicians like Vice President Kamala Harris are pushing for policies that support crypto.  
They wrote a letter to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) asking the party to include crypto-friendly language in its plan and pick a Vice Presidential candidate with strong policies on digital assets.  
Over 20% of voters in key states see crypto as a big issue, which is why the letter brings it up as an important issue in the upcoming elections. The politicians stress how important it is for the Democratic Party to make a strong case to crypto voters while also making sure that consumers are safe through proper regulation.  
Because Donald Trump is for crypto, it has become a big political problem, and the Republican Party is getting more support. Crypto supporters, such as Hayden Adams, founder of Uniswap, want both parties to run for office at the same time so that policies don't change based on which party controls the government.  
Working hard to improve the party's relationship with the crypto industry, <a href="https://optimisus.com/market/market-news/kamala-harriss-presidential-campaign-reaches-out-to-crypto-exchanges-to-reset-relations-with-the-tech-sector/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Vice President Kamala Harris has reached out to big crypto companies like Coinbase</a>, Circle, and Ripple Labs. Mark Cuban, a billionaire investor, says that a government led by Harris might be better for crypto than the present one.  
Lawmaker Wiley Nickel has praised these efforts and pointed out that blockchain technology has the ability to spur new ideas, economic growth, and more people having access to money. People are pushing for crypto-friendly laws because they know that many people care about crypto.
