<p class="is-style-lead">In a recent interview, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey explained his decision to leave Bluesky, saying the project ended up repeating all the mistakes that were made at Twitter.</p>
<p>American entrepreneur <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/jack-dorsey/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Jack Dorsey</a> has apparently lost his faith in <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/bluesky/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bluesky</a>, a decentralized social network he co-funded for $14 million during his tenure as CEO at Twitter.</p>
<p>In a recent <a href="http://www.piratewires.com/p/interview-with-jack-dorsey-mike-solana?data-crypto-dot-news" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">interview</a> with Pirate Wires, <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/jack-dorsey/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Jack Dorsey</a> explained why he left Bluesky’s board, saying he was disappointed with how the project was going. He felt they were straying from the original idea of users controlling the platform and adding moderation tools, similar to Twitter’s approach.</p>
<p>Dorsey particularly attributed his departure to Bluesky CEO Jay Graber and her team’s compliance with user demands for moderation tools, which deviated from the original vision of a platform “controlled by the people.” At that moment Dorsey says he realized that Bluesky was “literally repeating all the mistakes we made as a company.”</p>

<p>Eventually, Dorsey says he decided to delete his Bluesky account and join Nostr, a decentralized network protocol for a distributed social networking system. The Twitter founder said he gave a “bunch of money” to the Nostr team, though there’s “no board, no company behind it, no funding.”</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="among-us">Among us</h2>
<p>Meanwhile, Dorsey continues to raise concerns about centralized messaging protocols, positioning himself as an intermediary in a fireside chat between Telegram and Signal by sharing reports highlighting security concerns associated with both platforms.</p>

<p>Recently, Dorsey shared a post from <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/signal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Signal</a> president Meredith Whittaker on X, who said that “Telegram notoriously insecure and routinely cooperates with govs behind the scenes while talking a big game about speech and privacy.”</p>
<p>Whittaker’s comments came after <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/telegram/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Telegram</a> co-founder Pavel Durov wrote in his <a href="https://t.me/durov/274" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Telegram channel</a> that “an alarming number of important people I’ve spoken to remarked that their ‘private’ Signal messages had been exploited against them in US courts or media.” Durov’s statement came in response to Dorsey’s <a href="https://twitter.com/jack/status/1787895769183268948" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">shared post</a> on X, which raised concerns about Signal’s insecurity, particularly questioning the messenger’s encryption methods.</p>
