<p class="p2">The identify of the leaders behind the Shiba Inu project has remained a mystery since the founding of the project, from its <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/shiba-inu-founder-end-vision/">pseudonymous founder Ryoshi</a> to the current Lead Developer Shytoshi Kusama. Since Ryoshi stepped away from the project and the limelight, <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/shiba-inu-lead-dev-hints-at-shib-spot-etf-coming/">Shytoshi Kusama</a> has since taken over, leading the project. However, it seems the lead developer’s stint may be short-lived as well following a recent statement that could see Kusama leave the project as well.</p> 
<h2 class="p2" id="shiba-inu-lead-developer-could-exit-the-project">Shiba Inu Lead Developer Could Exit The Project</h2> 
<p class="p2">In a statement that was <a href="https://x.com/ShytoshiKusama/status/1810512842996740454" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">released</a> by the lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama revealed that his stint at the helm of the Shiba Inu ecosystem will someday come to an end. The <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/shiba-inu-shibaswap-2-status/">lead developer </a>revealed this alongside the revelations of the plans that the project currently has for its community.</p> 
<p class="p2">Mainly, the Shiba Inu team plans to tour to a number of locations, starting with Kyoto, Japan, where the team held its <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/shiba-inu-team-meet-greet/">first-ever meet-and-greed with the community</a>. The tour, which the team has named the “Treat Yourself” tour, a play on the upcoming <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/shiba-inu-shares-update-on-eternity-game/">TREAT token</a> launch, will see the team stop around multiple locations to connect with the community.</p> 
<p class="p2">This tour is only one of the many things that the team plans to accomplish in an effort to complete Ryoshi’s vision for the <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/0-000165-price-target-shiba-inu/">Shiba Inu ecosystem</a>. Another development is a fully homomorphic encryption capability granted to all SHIB holders made possible by the Zama AI encryption system.</p> 
<p class="p2">In addition to this, the team plans to launch its very own conference called “SHIBACON 2024”. According to the statement, this conference will be held in Thailand and will be the final stop in the “Treat Yourself” tour in 2024, happening around the same time as DevCon.</p> 
<p class="p2">However, with the completion of this, <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/shiba-inu-heartfelt-message-2024/">Shytoshi Kusama</a> reveals that this would mean he would eventually have to step away from the limelight, just as founder Ryoshi did. This will ensure Shiba Inu is a self-sustaining, decentralized ecosystem that requires no leader, just as the SHIB founder intended.</p> 
<h2 class="p2" id="how-ryoshi-left-the-space">How Ryoshi Left The Space</h2> 
<p class="p2"><a href="https://bitcoinist.com/company-dumped-its-shib-holdings-to-sue-founders/">Shiba Inu founder Ryoshi</a> has managed to remain anonymous despite the enormous popularity of the meme coin project. To further solidify his anonymity, the <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/shiba-inu-founder-disappears-from-social-media/">SHIB founder deleted all traces of their history</a> from all social media accounts, including X (formerly Twitter) and Medium posts.</p> 
<p class="p2">Following this, <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/identity-of-shiba-inu-founder-revealed-by-bitboy/">Ryoshi</a> completely disappeared from the community, leaving Lead Developer Shytoshi Kusama in charge of the project. Before disappearing, <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/shiba-inu-founder-ccp-wanxiang-buterin-launch/">Ryoshi</a> had previously hinted at this, saying, “I am not important, and one day I will be gone without notice. Take the SHIBA and journey upwards frens.”</p> 
<p class="p2">Interestingly, this disappearing act is similar to that of <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-maxi-drops-bombshell-message-from-nakamoto/">Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto</a>, who was active for a while following the cryptocurrency’s launch. However, a year after the launch of Bitcoin in 2010, <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-creator-satoshi-nakamoto-said-bitcoin-should-not-be-called-an-investment-so-what-is-it/">Nakamoto</a> disappeared completely and has not been heard from since then.</p>
