The US government has raised the regulatory barriers for the large orders of Nvidia Corp.’s H100 semiconductors that are used in the AI data centers due to increasing the national security concerns. This decision is a reaction to the concern that has been noted on the misuse of emerging technologies in the Gulf states. 
Microsoft-UAE AI Partnership 
In a significant development, the collaboration between Microsoft and UAE’s G42 over a geothermal-powered data center in Kenya is facing scrutiny from the U.S. officials. Concerns are centered on the potential for these technologies to compromise U.S. security interests.&nbsp; 
Moreover, the partnership agreement, which involves a substantial investment from Microsoft in exchange for G42 severing ties with Chinese companies, is under a cloud of doubt over its viability and compliance.
