<p>This higher-than-expected inflation had a direct impact on the price of bitcoin. It dropped by more than 1% to reach $68,200 in the minutes following the report’s release. Traditional markets also did not react well. They saw declines of around 1.5% for the futures contracts on the S&amp;P 500 and Nasdaq 100 indexes. In addition, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury bonds jumped 13 basis points reaching 4.50%. While the dollar index climbed 0.5%.</p>
