#ProductUpdate #FeatureLaunch #Update #OS
Wicrypt has made some major milestones in the last year. The team has sold over 1200 devices, with over 10M $WNT staked. This year alone, they won a $150,000 grant at the LEAP23 event in Saudi Arabia. They signed partnership deals with the Peaq blockchain and JDI, formerly Bobcat Miners (the largest hardware manufacturer of Helium devices).
To prepare for our next growth stage, we are launching a new OS version with more features to improve user experience and interaction with the Wicrypt product.
The new OS features include:
- Whitelisting: With the whitelisting feature, the hotspot hub owner can whitelist their devices (Smart TVs, Laptops, IP Cameras, IoTs, Smart Fridges etc.), so hub owners will not need to authenticate their devices again from the splash page manually. Whitelisting gives approval and access to the list of connected devices on a Wicrypt hotspot hub.
- SMS Compatibility: Users can send text messages from their sims to others and receive messages while the sim is inserted in their Wicrypt hotspot hubs. They can also delete these messages using the ‘Delete’ button.
- USSD: Users will be able to check their sim and data balances by entering the designated codes of their network providers.
- Bug Fixes: We have fixed many bugs in the current OS to ensure we have a high-performing and optimised OS.
To view and install the OS update:
- Go to your browser and enter 192.168.4.4 or http://wicryptlogin.net/
- Click on ‘System’
- The page shows an UPDATE button when there is a new OS version.
- Click on ‘Update’
Please be patient, as your hotspot hub will restart during the update.
It is important to note that this update only works on the new Wicrypt Lynx and Spider hotspot hubs.
