The Arbitrum token airdrop is one of the most significant events of the year in the crypto world. Also, it’s been “talk of the town” in the crypto space since the official announcement of the “Arbitrum Airdrop.” Another Ethereum L2 solution’s token airdrop that had previously sparked similar interest was the Optimistic Token (OP).
However, after grabbing the crypto community’s attention, the Ethereum Layer-2 rollup network launches its governance token “ARB” today at 18:29:40 GMT. Also, prior to the airdrop of Arbitrum’s native cryptocurrency, its network activity, which utilizes Optimistic rollups technology to deliver faster and cheaper transactions, had increased. According to data provider Arbiscan, the number of daily transactions on Arbitrum surged to a new record high of 1,312,052 transactions on Tuesday.
Crypto Exchanges to List ARB
Prominent crypto exchanges announced their support for the ARB token and listed it on their trading lists since they see the potential for the token and the communities’ engagement.
This week, the two largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Binance and Coinbase, announced the ARB token listing. Further, leading exchanges such as KoinBX, Huobi, and MEXC also listed ARB in their trading list.
Moreover, according to DefiLlama, the Blockchain data tracker, Arbitrum is currently ranked fourth among all the chains with $1.99 billion in total value locked up. Comparatively, Polygon (MATIC) is behind Arbitrum with over 46% differences.
