Keeping tabs on the latest non-fungible tokens (NFTs) can quickly become a herculean task judging by the number of collections that are released every day. Here’s a rundown of some upcoming NFTs to keep an eye on over the next week.

Cryptoon Goonz

The NFT craze appears to have defied roadmaps and whitepapers. Beyond the utility and overall road map of an NFT series, collectors are simply jumping in on projects that appeal to their emotions and have the potential to increase in value.

That being said, very little has been revealed about the future of this NFT series apart from the fact that Cryptoon Goonz would be the first collection of NFTs based in the Cryptoon world. So, it is possible that other collections will be launched by this project in the future. There are also plans to launch a merch store and community DAO in the future.

As for the 6,969 characters in this collection, they derive their traits and rarity from eight properties, including head, eyes, mouth, body, shorts, shoes, hands and accessories.

Voodollz

Price: 0.099 ETH

Voodollz has a certain spooky feel to it. The project describes itself as “a collection of 3D generated characters knitted to perfection and coming alive on the Ethereum blockchain.”

Away from the usual NFT pitch of having a merch shop and integrating blockchain gaming, Voodollz claims to be the first-ever community-run NFT project. The community has a say in the future utility, collaborations and other key decisions in the ecosystem.

For a start, a voting system has been rolled out on Discord ahead of minting. Later on, the “one and only utility” created without the community input in the form of a treasure hunt will be introduced.

“Clues and hints will be scattered all over Voodollz for a chance to win a secret prize.”

Upon completing the mint, a closed channel will be created for only NFT holders.

“Full community overturn. Now that the buyers are separated, they decide on the future. All of the ideas, utility, etc. are voted by the closed channel and implemented by the team. There will be no information given to anyone besides our holders. Which means that every «official» Voodoll is now a developer of the project.”

Chibi Galaxy

With a collection size of 7,000 3D interstellar-themed character NFTs, Chibi Galaxy has quite an elaborate roadmap. Every Chibi includes one secret unlockable item.

“A Chibi is a mix between a full-body punk, inspired by CryptoPunks and a chibi. Chibi is a Japanese slang word describing something short.”

Chibi Galaxy is the third collection from Chibi Labs. Earlier generations include Chibis, a collection of 200 unique 1/1s, and Chibi Apes, a generative collection of 3000 ape characters.

Once the minting process is completed for Chibi Galaxy, the project will proceed to buy a prime lot in Decentraland, Somnium Space and Sandbox. There are also plans to launch a merch store and initialize a liquidity pool.

In December 2021, NFT holders will receive a free-to-mint secret species Chibi companion. Meanwhile, by early 2022, the focus will shift to commercialization and monetization for the Chibi characters across gaming, physical collectibles, and media. Later down the line, the team will release Chibi characters into free-to-play and play-to-earn gaming environments, as well as physical Chibi characters in the form of costumes, retail products and collectibles.

MiniMecha

What makes MiniMecha an interesting pick is the fact that it has a whitepaper outlining its roadmap, possibly highlighting the seriousness of the team behind the project. However, this is not a foolproof endorsement that the project will succeed. It is important that you conduct your own due diligence.

“Our goal is to attract and grow an inclusive and diverse community, develop a fun and engaging game and build a vibrant economy while also having great art.”

Inspired by Worms and Gunbound, MiniMecha is a 2D artillery-based tactics game with turns for each player. There are two primary game modes — Scavenge and Colosseum.

In scavenge mode, players embark on a mission to harvest Mechanite from NPC droids. And in the colosseum, gamers battle other MiniMecha players for Mechanite. Players will be able to use the Mechanite gathered from gameplay to upgrade their mechs or forge new equipment in the smithing workshop.

In general, the MiniMecha ecosystem has quite an elaborate scheme, which may take a few years to develop. In the meantime, the team will be rolling out NFT staking to help the project retain its value.

“$PRIME will be launched in December 2021 and will be the governance token for MiniMecha. It will provide an economic incentive to encourage participants to contribute to the MiniMecha ecosystem. It will be listed on Decentralized Exchanges (DEX) and will be tradeable and used for staking and potentially lending.”

Kumo X World

Kumo X World is a community-focused NFT project with an adventure RPG. If you fancy feeling like a child once again and going on expeditions, then this NFT project might appeal to you.

Owning one of the 6,666 NFTs in this collection will give you access to Discord-based adventures where you can discover hidden gems in Kumo.

“There will be factions where grouped resident classes will compete against each other in World leagues, as well as pets with special powers that can open up different realms for more adventures in unknown parts of the world.”

The Rocking Uniquehorns

Unicorns are about to have a party on the Ethereum blockchain. From drummers to trumpeters, guitarists and singers, The Rock Uniquehorns (TRU) touts itself as the first NFT project combining “art, sound, and collaboration.”

Each NFT in the collection has a unique sound and allows its owner to collaborate with other TRU band members via custom-built online tools.

“The Rocking Uniquehorns (TRU) are randomly generated by combining over 300 regular, legendary and ultra-rare visual as well as over 50 acoustic traits, giving each one its very own unique style and sound.”

TRU has a rather unique product offering in the sense that they help artists by buying their NFTs, supporting and funding their projects, launching them into the Metaverse, and increasing their visibility. At the community side, NFT holders will have access to community fund voting rights, exclusive collaborations, merch, and TRU-powered decentralized events.

Metaboom by Fansi

The Metaboom NFT sale was originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 27. However, the sales have been pushed back to November 12.

MetaBoom is a “Web3.0 music distribution ecosystem designed for the future.” This series simply combines some popular NFT collections like CryptoPunk and Bored Ape Yacht Club with boomboxes.

“MetaBooms are chatty and feisty metaverse beings who are said to be the spirits of 80s' boomboxes wandering the world after walkman took over. They love great music, and they seek masters with the best music taste out there, yes, they’re looking at you.”

As for its utility, holding one of the 5,000 NFTs in this series automatically makes its owner a metaDJ. metaDJs will be able to earn tokens by curating playlists.

CUBOTZ is a bot-themed PFPs that will be used for gaming and metaverse interaction.
