Abigail Johnson is an American billionaire businesswomen who is currently the president and chief executive officer of American investment firm Fidelity Investments, and chairwoman of its international sister company Fidelity International. Fidelity Investments was founded by her grandfather Edward Johnson II 1946 and it is one of the largest asset managers in the world with $3.3 trillion in assets under management as of June 2020 and a combined total customer asset value number of $8.3 trillion. In 2018, Johnson introduced cryptocurrency investment at Fidelity, making it possible for institutional investors to trade BTC and ETH. Under her leadership, Fidelity has developed Fidelity Digital Assets, a subsidiary that focuses on institutional solutions for this new asset class including custodian services, research and execution services, which is a strong benchmark for 'traditional' institutional investment interests.
