According to its website, the IPTC is “a consortium of news agencies, newspapers and news system vendors that develops and publishes technical specifications to promote the easy, accurate, and inexpensive exchange of news standards.”
Notable members include Agence France-Presse, BBC News, Bloomberg, The Associated Press, and The New York Times.
Earlier this month, PUBLISH, Inc. announced a strategic partnership with Academy to develop an extended Open Index Protocol specification catering to blockchain news dissemination.
Commenting on the membership with IPTC, PUBLISH, Inc. CEO Sonnny Kwon, said:
