Leading blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence announced that it is launching its derivatives exchange. The perpetual exchange will integrate Arkham's research capabilities and feature live on-chain audits and proof-of-reserve systems.
These changes come in response to the growing clamor for more transparency in cryptocurrency trading. However, it will not include traders based in the United States due to regulatory considerations.
This launch comes as the crypto derivatives sector is witnessing unprecedented growth. Recent data from CCData shows that trading volumes doubled year-over-year to a record $3 trillion in September—a surge that reflects increasing interest from retail investors and broader market maturation.
Elsewhere in the derivatives market, others have been making big moves. The Chicago Mercantile Exchange heralded its "most successful crypto futures launch ever" late in September with its Bitcoin Friday Futures product.
Arkham Intelligence is a popular tool for tracking blockchain transactions and monitoring on-chain addresses. It raised $12 million in a funding round in which the founder of OpenAI, Sam Altman, was an investor.
