Senator Warren Blames Bitcoin Mining for Energy Price Hikes
Senator Elizabeth Warren has blamed Bitcoin mining for rising energy prices in American households, citing a New York Times article that accused #Bitcoin miners of cashing in on electricity and indirectly forcing the public to pay the price. However, many in the crypto community have disputed the claims, with Bitcoin podcaster Stephan Livera dismissing the #NYT report as "filled with disinformation." #MicroStrategy founder #Michael Saylor also contradicted Warren's statement, explaining how #Bitcoin mining can actually help decrease energy bills. Some in the crypto community have sought to tag Elon Musk, who has been active in combating disinformation campaigns, in the conversation. Musk recently revealed his plans to develop a rival to ChatGPT called #TruthGPT, which he claims will be a "maximum truth-seeking AI" to explore the mysteries of the universe.
