Yuga Labs, a leading NFT player, has hired former Epic Games and Riot Games executive Mike Seavers as its new Chief Technology Officer to focus on gaming. The move comes as the blockchain gaming market outperformed the broader NFT industry in Q1 2023, and Yuga Labs' Otherside metaverse, based on the Bored Ape collection, is set to launch later this year. Yuga Labs holds a top spot in the NFT industry, with 16 collections representing 34.6% of the entire market, including the flagship Bored Ape Yacht Club, which has become synonymous with NFTs.
