Solana Unveils ChatGPT Plugin that Retrieves On-chain Data

According to a tweet published on April 25, Solana Labs has announced the release of a ChatGPT plugin. This plugin will make it possible for users of chatbots to communicate with the Solana blockchain.

According to Solana Labs, users of the plugin will have the ability to check the balance of their wallets, transfer tokens, and acquire NFTs without leaving ChatGPT.

A user makes a request for a list of NFTs that are held by a specific Solana address in one of the screenshots. A user requests assistance in buying an NFT in the third sample image, while another user requests assistance with transferring a Solana transaction to a different address in the second sample image. Each prompt provides the facts or instructions that are pertinent in their natural language form.

According to the information provided on GitHub’s technical documentation, the plugin may be able to get data regarding account balances, assets held, transactions, signatures, NFT collections, and other types of information.

Although Solana did not provide a date for when a plugin will be made available for widespread usage, she did mention that developers have access to the project’s source code and can use it to construct their own plugins.

On the GitHub page for this project, it is stated that the tool can currently be installed as an unverified plugin by using the address https://solana-gpt-plugin.onrender.com. This statement is also supported by the fact that the utility is currently available.

The announcement of Solana’s ChatGPT plugin comes at the same time as a variety of other AI services and activities relating to cryptocurrency services and projects.

On April 24, 2018, Binance introduced a chatbot called “Sensei” that was powered by ChatGPT. On the same day, Visa revealed plans to recruit an AI-focused blockchain developer. Artificial intelligence elements are also being added to crypto-integrated browsers. Today, Opera also introduced a version called Opera One that incorporates artificial intelligence. In the meantime, Brave began early March by adding a “summarizer” feature to its own search engine. This tool is driven by artificial intelligence.
