The MetalSwap team and contributors are working diligently as we look ahead to the upcoming months and the development of new features continues day by day.</p><p>The <strong>mainnet for NFT staking feature </strong>is on its way, along with other updates, but for now, let’s summarize what has already been accomplished in April.</p><p>As always, the recap will be divided into the following major areas:</p><ul><li>Project Updates</li><li>R&amp;D and Blog Post</li><li>Development Preview</li></ul><h2 id="header-0">Project Updates</h2><p>In this section, we examine the main achievements of the past 30 days:</p><h3 id="brand-new-swap-competition">Brand-new Swap Competition</h3><p>After a long wait, as announced in the last MetalSwap recap for February, the <a href="https://metalswap.me/mche" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">new Swap Competition</a> has begun, featuring very attractive prizes.</p><p>It was decided to award more than <strong>1000 USDC</strong> to the top twenty positions, adding an additional incentive of <strong>3300 OP</strong> in the form of liquid rewards for all open positions.</p><p>The competition started on <strong>April 17</strong> and will last for 30 days, until <strong>May 17.</strong></p><p>At this point, the rankings are already quite competitive, but with some smart moves, it’s still possible to secure excellent positions and gain very juicy prizes.</p><h3 id="premium-50-reduction">Premium 50% Reduction</h3><p>Another significant development in April was the <strong>reduction in the cost of the premium </strong>to open a position within the dApp.</p><p>Thanks to the update of the <a href="https://metalswap.me/PDS" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Proto-Danksharding</a>, the cost was reduced by about <strong>50%</strong>, making operations much more economical for all users utilizing MetalSwap.</p><p><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/800/0*VbPuFHtbtMRY_pcn" /></p><h3 id="mumbai-testnet-update">Mumbai Testnet Update</h3><p>The Mumbai testnet for the NFT staking feature <a href="https://metalswap.me/MTU" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">has been concluded</a> as it was deprecated by the Polygon team.
