<p style="text-align: justify">EigenLayer, a prominent <a href="https://en.bitcoinhaber.net/layer-1-networks-display-divergent-address-activity-trends" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum</a> restaking protocol, has announced the deployment of EigenDA, a validator service set to bolster the Ethereum network’s mainnet. EigenDA’s launch was revealed by the EigenLayer team on April 9th, marking a significant milestone for Ethereum’s infrastructure. Since the initiation, EigenLayer has seen a restake of over 4.1 million Ethereum, with recent statistics showing that 70% of the new Ethereum validators were restaked using their platform.</p>
<h2 id="expanding-ethereum-s-restaking-reach">Expanding Ethereum’s Restaking Reach</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">Restaking is an innovative feature that allows Ethereum holders to simultaneously stake on Ethereum’s network and additional protocols. This practice leverages Ethereum’s validators and staked assets to reinforce the <a href="https://en.bitcoinhaber.net/playdapp-gaming-platform-suffers-colossal-cryptocurrency-theft" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">security</a> and reliability of emerging blockchain networks. EigenLayer is committed to maintaining a market that is both decentralized and allows for free market dynamics, countering the risk of any single stake provider achieving dominance.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">In pursuit of hyper-scalability, cost-effective solutions, and simple integration for aggregation services, EigenDA is engineered to address the challenges of data availability on the Ethereum network. As the service becomes more stable with the introduction of new operators and delegations, the team at EigenLayer anticipates the integration of Rollups into the EigenDA mainnet.</p>
<h2 id="strengthening-the-staking-ecosystem">Strengthening the Staking Ecosystem</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify">While the protocols for payments and cuts from AVSs to operators are not yet live, plans are in place to roll them out later in the year. AVSs are vital in linking Ethereum’s execution layer with various rollups and blockchain platforms, thereby enhancing the mainnet’s functionality. Moreover, EigenLayer’s total value locked has surged to $13.3 billion, a doubling since the year’s start, according to DeFiLlama.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">With Dune Analytics reporting around $112 billion worth of 32.2 million Ethereum staked, and over a million active validators, Ethereum’s staking ecosystem exhibits remarkable health and security. Lido remains at the forefront as the leading liquid stake provider, holding 29% of the total staked Ethereum, equivalent to $33.2 billion.</p>
