The representative would not, however, comment on specific licencing applications, saying that &#34;commenting on any interactions with regulators would be inappropriate.Following a warning about operating without a licence from Japan&#39;s primary financial regulator, the Financial Services Agency (FSA), Binance left the Japanese cryptocurrency market in 2018. The FSA once again sent a warning to Binance in June of last year, reminding the exchange that it had been offering unregistered crypto exchange services to Japanese clients.Binance has made regulatory compliance one of its key goals after receiving warnings from numerous regulators that it has been operating without a licence and in violation of the law. Prior to now, the exchange platform made clear that it intended to become a licenced financial institution.To address regulatory issues, Binance recently established a global advisory council. According to Binance, the group consists of &#34;distinguished professionals in public policy, government, finance, economics, and corporate governance.&#34;
