<p class="is-style-lead">The Ton blockchain team believes a new X policy will push more users toward Telegram and its crypto features.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>Elon Musk’s social network introduced a rule requiring new users to pay a small yearly fee before unlocking X features like News Daily, posts, likes, and bookmarks. Musk’s rationale pointed to a bot-combating strategy, as participants regularly report automated and fake accounts flooding timelines.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>X’s latest policy addition sparked mixed reactions among users on the platform. The Open Network (TON) blockchain remarked that Musk’s move may indirectly foster greater crypto adoption.&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="telegram-adds-50-ad-share-payment-via-ton">Telegram adds 50% ad share payment via Ton</h2> 
<p>Telegram founder Pavel Durov <a href="https://crypto.news/telegram-ad-revenue-ton-blockchain/" rel="">announced</a> plans to share 50% of advertising revenue through the TON blockchain in February. Durov’s initiative provided additional incentives for hosting Telegram broadcast channels and doubled as a global digital asset adoption initiative, putting crypto in more pockets.</p> 
<p>As crypto.news reported, the program went live late last month and <a href="https://crypto.news/telegram-rolls-out-ton-based-revenue-sharing-system/" target="_blank" rel="">unlocked</a> more utility for Ton’s native cryptocurrency, Toncoin (<a href="https://crypto.news/price/toncoin/" target="_blank" rel="">TON</a>). The cryptocurrency has achieved fresh all-time highs (ATH) on at least two occasions since then.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>According to CoinMarketCap, Toncoin retraced along with several over virtual currencies and traded 19% below its $7.65 ATH.&nbsp;</p>
