Starknet Foundation Launches $5 Million Grant Program
The Starknet Foundation has unveiled a new grant program aimed at supporting new projects on Starknet. With a total of $5 million worth of USDC available, the Seed Grants Program intends to assist at least 200 promising teams by providing each recipient with $25,000 in USDC. The grants aim to offer a final push to projects in their final stages, helping them launch on Starknet, an Ethereum layer-2 scaling solution that utilizes zero-knowledge rollup technology.

The grants specifically target projects related to Starknet that have already developed a minimum viable product (MVP) or proof-of-concept. The primary objective is to foster blockchain innovation by reducing barriers and burdens for young teams considering starting a project.

Starknet has been drawing increasing numbers of developers to its ecosystem. According to Electric Capital's 2023 Developer Report, the total monthly developers on the platform surpassed 22,400 in December 2023, reflecting a growth of over 113% in the past three years from 10,500 in December 2020.

The Starknet network has been at the forefront of fully on-chain gaming, with notable projects such as Realms, Influence, and Dojo. According to DappRadar data, blockchain gaming accounted for 35% of total decentralized application activity, with over 2.2 million daily unique active wallets.
