What is VIDT DAO ($VIDT)?

VIDT DAO is an open source platform that enables verifiable trust for the entire Web3 ecosystem. The VIDT DAO Web3 platform brings trust into processes by making data and documents verifiable, using the best open source blockchain and timestamp technology. Any Web3 developer and user can use the VIDT DAO open source technology to create timestamps, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and register digital assets such as certificates, sensor data and firmware.

In the past years, the VIDT Validation Tech has been used by several renowned organisations like Procentec, Nyenrode, AmSpec, DeGO, Amsterdam Vintage Watches and IBM. The utility token, VIDT, is used in a transaction for validation. Transactions are processed by recording the filehash, timestamp and blockchain address.

VIDT is deployed on two blockchains: as BEP-20 on BNB Smart Chain (BNB), and as ERC-20 on Ethereum (ETH).

VIDT DAO is a decentralized third-generation blockchain validation ecosystem controlled by its community and stakeholders.

VIDT DAO Incubator Treasury: The VIDT DAO Incubator Treasury is an empowering tool for the community to decide on the strategic - and commercial path for VIDT DAO. VIDT DAO Audit Committee: The audit committee is formed to perform sanity checks on submitted VIDT DAO proposals to comply with laws and regulation and is currently chaired by Joshua Jenster, Gert-Jan Huizer, Jolanda ter Maten and Kai Advocaat.

VIDT DAO Awareness Team: The VIDT DAO Awareness Team is formed by a team of volunteers of varying composition, who are enthusiasts of the VIDT DAO Technology. They share news about VIDT, integrators of the VIDT technology and other news that might interest the VIDT DAO community.

VIDT DAO open source: The VIDT DAO technology running on both Ethereum Mainnet and BNB Smart Chain is open source, fully compatible with all major programming languages, and therefore easy to link to any software platform. Extended GitHub documentation is available for anyone to build upon.

What makes VIDT DAO unique?

The VIDT DAO technology was created to securely store digital data on the blockchain, capturing provenance records, transfers of ownership and preventing fraud. All chains of custody are browsable on the blockchain, they are immutable and available to the public. With the protocol, users can write their encrypted files to the blockchain via the project's API, which facilitates the integration of VIDT DAO with programming languages ​​such as Python, JS and Java.

Developers choose VIDT technologies to protect intellectual property by time-stamping and facilitating the sale of digital assets through fast and low-cost transactions. Organizations or individual creators of files, data and digital art are connected to a cloud service linked to the VIDT API, which is compatible with major programming languages. It's a simple and cost-effective way to use the VIDT DAO platform.
When linking a file, the VIDT DAO smart contract identifies the issuer and stores the already encrypted hash of the file.
