What is Autobahn Network (TXL)?

The Autobahn Network is a Layer2 Rollup created to support and scale the BNB Smart Chain (BSC; formerly known as Binance Smart Chain) network. Using Go Ethereum, the Autobahn was designed as a rollup to batch process transactions to reduce usage and cost on the BNB Smart Chain base layer. For the first time after launch, the Autobahn will run as its own network with 21 nodes based on a Proof of Authority Consensus. It will step-by-step migrate to a zero knowledge powered solution (potentially based on ZkBNB).

The Autobahn is designed with developers and the community in mind with the goal of sustaining a seamless user experience in the BNB ecosystem.

What makes the Autobahn Network unique?

Rollup scaling solutions were invented-such as Optimistic and Zero-Knowledge Rollups - to increase transaction volumes, reduce transaction times and minimize gas fees. However, these scaling solutions focused mainly on scaling Ethereum. The Autobahn Network developers saw the need for other EVM chains to have a scaling tool to prevent them from running into the same situation, hence the creation of the Autobahn Network.

The Autobahn Network is designed to serve the BNB Smart Chain (BSC) and its community. BSC has proven to be one of the highest throughput Layer 1s in terms of volume and new projects being built in the blockchain ecosystem. To enhance this growth and ensure that projects are not hindered by a slower and more expensive base layer, the Autobahn Network is launching before the BNB network becomes even more congested and expensive. Even today, the average BSC transaction already costs around $0.35 (Source: YCharts). This cost is not feasible for the many NFT and game projects with high transaction volumes. A transaction with the Autobahn Network Optimistic Rollup is expected to be 95% cheaper, at around $0.0175.

What’s TXL’s utility?

TXL = Transaction Lane, formerly known as “Tixl”. The hard-capped TXL token benefits from all transaction fees, staking, and governance: - TXL acts as the primary source of Gas when it comes to paying for transactions on the Autobahn Network. - PoS Staking in Autobahn Network nodes: Node hosters will earn BNB from each transaction that happens on the Autobahn Network. - Autobahn Network Governance: Node hosters will be the governors of the Autobahn Network.

What is the Autobahn Genesis Cars NFT Collection?

Autobahn Genesis Cars is a collection of 6,200 drivable cars on the Autobahn Network. A special gamified community collection of artwork created by the t team that will offer unique access and exclusive rewards to holders. Upon reveal holders can already drive, wash and inspect Genesis Cars completely on-chain.
