ACM is under the Socios platform founded by French internet entrepreneur Alexandre Dreyfus in 2018. Dreyfus has said in an interview with French news platform Sportspro that the goal of Socios is to “support clubs to achieve a better connection between the fans and themselves.”

\ Dreyfus has also said that the business aims to support clubs to generate additional revenue while recognising the shift in the fan industry from passive to active, such that fanbases can be monetised and fans can earn recognition. \ \ Prior to establishing Socios, Dreyfus founded and is the CEO of chiliz (CHZ), a global sports and entertainment digital currency and tokenized exchange that powers the Socios platform, and is backed by some of the largest blockchain companies in the world. For more than 10 years, Dreyfus has been working to unite cryptocurrency and sports.

AC Milan Fan Token is unique in that it connects celebrity football players together with ordinary fans. The token takes fan support to the next level and allows team fans the chance to get up close and personal with their favourite teams and players, through rewards such as VIP invites, meet and greets and signed merch.

ACM breaks grounds by connecting two very different arenas: sports and cryptocurrency, activities that seem worlds apart yet could mutually benefit from their connection through the token-based app. Fans can now play a part in their players’ lives and sporting organizations can connect with their fans like never before.

ACM has a maximum total supply of 20,000,000 tokens, of which there are currently 3,141,172 ACM tokens in circulation. Of these, 2,000,157 were initially released to fans through a fan token offering.

Currently, ACM tokens can be either purchased or earned through game play in the Socios app.

The ACM tokens will be released over a set timeline of six years, where 4 million are released in the first year and 3.2 million tokens are released per year for the next five years.

Because the majority of fan interaction with the tokens is through polls, the ACM network is secured through blockchain technology. Every vote’s integrity is secured through a myriad of factors including verified payment providers, data privacy regulations, and partnership with top brands.

ACM is a utility cryptocurrency token built on Ethereum, and a smart contract is a program that runs on the Ethereum blockchain and is supported by the platform. Smart contracts allow the conclusion of trust relationships, transactions, and agreements between anonymous parties.

ACM is listed on several cryptocurrency exchanges, and the tokens can be obtained by first purchasing Chiliz (CHZ), the in-app currency, which can then be exchanged for the fan tokens. Among them: Binance, Paribu, Pionex, BKEX, Mandala Exchange, HitBTC and Chiliz itself.
