About Arcadeum

Arcadeum is a decentralized casino that's fully on-chain and self-custodial, with a provably low and highly competitive house edge.

Betting is facilitated by a pool of liquidity through which depositors receive losses and pay out wins. With a tailored API3 QRNG Airnode integration, random number generation is verifiably fair.

Arcadeum is a step towards a world where players understand the risks, odds, payouts, and mechanisms behind the games they play.

ARC is Arcadeum's base utility token. ARC has a fixed supply and no more ARC can ever be minted. While ARC can be bridged to other chains, all features are currently available on Arbitrum.

sARC (Staked ARC) is a staked variant of ARC that accrues a cut of protocol revenue. ARC and sARC are mutually exchangeable at a one-to-one ratio. ARC can be staked for sARC at any time, and sARC can be unstaked for ARC at any time. There are no fees, cooldowns, or lock periods.

xARC (Burnt ARC) is another derivative of ARC that accrues a larger cut of protocol revenue. ARC is exchangeable for xARC at a one-to-one ratio, with no fees or limits. However, unlike sARC, the underlying tokens are burnt when ARC is converted to xARC. This means that xARC can't be converted back into ARC, which is its more liquid counterpart.

esARC (Escrowed ARC), as the name suggests, is an escrowed wrapper around ARC that accrues a slice of protocol revenue. While not immediately redeemable, every esARC token is backed by one ARC token. esARC can be unvested into ARC, but it takes exactly one year to unvest. During this vesting period, no protocol revenue will be accrued. Note: Unvesting more esARC before the current vesting period expires resets the clock.

If/when Arcadeum releases on other Ethereum Virtual Machine compatible blockchains, plans to integrate the ARC token with a bridge such as Synapse will follow. Regardless of how many blockchains Arcadeum launches on, dilution of existing holders can never occur.

ALP (Arcadeum's LP Token) is a single-asset liquidity pool that entitles liquidity providers to a cut of the house proportional to their deposit. USDT is the pool's base asset, but zap deposits routed through Uniswap are supported via Arcadeum's web interface, with no additional fees.

Arcadeum supports USDT-denominated bets and pays out rewards in USDT.

Players must first approve their USDT spend limit on a smart contract before they can start playing games. To ensure everything runs smoothly, there are max bet limitations based on the max payout of each bet, the bet size, and the amount of USDT in ALP, which functions as the "house".

Bets are a two-transaction synchronous and non-reentrant process.

The first transaction is when the player initiates the bet by confirming the transaction prompt in their wallet that appears when they click the big green "Bet" button on the web interface.

The second transaction is when the QRNG (quantum random number generation) provider (API3) submits a transaction to fulfill the random number generation request submitted by the game's smart contract in the first transaction, which determines the outcome of the bet initiated by the player. Once this second transaction confirms, the game is complete.

Players pay gas for both the first and second transaction when they make their first transaction.

Due to on-chain limitations, verifiably random numbers can't be requested and generated within one single transaction.

Any player can use their wallet address to refer other players to the platform, earning a cut of all fees generated by the players they refer. These fees are streamed as USDT directly to the referrer's wallet, for life.

Many other gamification features exist. These include experience points (XP), levels, and profile customization.
