Decentralized information market Freatic announced it has raised $3.6 million in a seed funding round led by <a target="_blank" href="https://tokeninsight.com/en/capitals/a16z-andreessen-horowitz">a16z</a> Crypto, with participation from Anagram, Archetype, Not3Lau Capital, Robot Ventures, Arweave, and others.
Freatic aims to use cryptography and game theory to build a decentralized ecosystem for information exchange to expand the propagation of information, connecting valuable information with people capable of capitalizing on the information.
The funds raised will be used to construct building blocks for trustless exchanges while accelerating the flow of information. The team is operating two projects, Alpha Factory, a project curation platform on Polygon, and Capture The Alpha, an on-chain reputation system on Arbitrum.
