<p>Late Wednesday, July 10, organizers of the Bitcoin 2024 conference confirmed that former US President Donald Trump will be attending the event later this month. Trump is scheduled to speak at the conference, addressing the crypto community and potentially announcing plans for future adoption.</p> 
<h3 id="donald-trump-a-champion-of-crypto-industries">Donald Trump – A Champion of Crypto Industries?</h3> 
<p>Over the last few months, Donald Trump has positioned himself as the champion of the crypto industry while analyzing the angst of the crypto industry against the Biden administration. During the San Francisco fundraiser in June, Trump slammed the Democrats for attempting to put regulatory burden on the crypto industry. He also said that he would support the <a href="https://coingape.com/us-presidential-candidate-donald-trump-meets-bitcoin-miners-in-the-us-whats-cooking/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bitcoin mining industry</a> and wants all future Bitcoins to be “MADE IN USA”.</p> 
<p>With the Biden administration being absolutely uncertain about crypto regulations, and supporting anti-crypto bills like the <a href="https://coingape.com/house-vote-on-sec-sab-121-postponed-after-alleged-biden-letter/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SAB 121</a>, the crypto industry is also looking for a strong alternative in Trump. The organizers of the Bitcoin 2024 conference said:</p>

<h3 id="is-trump-playing-another-election-gimmick">Is Trump Playing Another Election Gimmick?</h3> 
<p>Trump’s outreach to the crypto industry has been well reciprocated by industry veterans with Winklevoss Twins and Jerome Powell announcing huge donations to his election campaign. While some of the top industry players are optimistic about the future of crypto with <a href="https://coingape.com/anthony-pompliano-debunks-bitcoin-rally-hopes-tied-to-trump-win/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> as President, others believe that his appearance at the Bitcoin 2024 Conference would be just an election gimmick.</p> 
<p>Toby Cunningham, the host of the Crypto Tips podcast wrote: “Bitcoiners have lost the plot. Inviting politicians to speak at a Bitcoin conference… I miss the good old days when people in this space understood that Bitcoin makes politicians and the central banks who control them obsolete”.</p> 
<p>CryptoQuant CEO, Ki Young Ju stated asked whether Doland Trump is really willing to make the US a Bitcoin nation, or is a strategy to gain votes. Popular crypto analyst Willy Woo stated that the upcoming address at the Bitcoin 2024 Conference could be majorly for votes.</p>
