The previous CEO, Changpeng Zhao, consistently evaded questions on the matter or argued that a headquarters was unnecessary. Initially reluctant to disclose this information, Teng now indicates that the cryptocurrency exchange is about to make a final decision on the issue.

These considerations include whether regulatory frameworks are suitable for Binance’s wide array of products and services, as well as taxation agreements. Teng noted that there needs to be harmony between the chosen jurisdiction and the value offered by Binance.
