<p>Our beloved anti-hero, Cramer, has a record of great misfires, especially regarding cryptocurrency. </p>



<p>Case in point: when bitcoin (<a href="https://crypto.news/price/bitcoin/">BTC</a>) danced at the $17,000 mark in early 2023, Cramer waved a red flag. He deemed it an opportune moment to exit the market, warning about the unreliability of crypto and Chinese stocks.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As fate would have it, bitcoin took a leap of faith. As of June 6, BTC has catapulted a whopping 61.6% since the start of the year, leaving Cramer&#8217;s warning in the dust.</p>



<p>Now, had an investor entrusted a mere $100 in bitcoin, contrary to Cramer&#8217;s counsel, they&#8217;d be lounging with an excellent $161.6 now. Oh, the sweet irony of going against the grain!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="strong-cramer-8217-s-clash-with-ethereum-a-stumble-or-strategy-strong"><strong>Cramer&#8217;s clash with Ethereum: a stumble or strategy?</strong></h2>



<p>Cramer&#8217;s tenuous relationship with cryptocurrencies is well-documented, but his erratic ethereum (ETH) stance particularly stands out. </p>



<p>In 2021, he <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/video/2021/06/28/why-jim-cramer-likes-ethereum-better-than-bitcoin.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">advocated</a> for ethereum, praising it as a valuable tool due to its wide range of applications. However, he shifted gears in 2023, painting a bleak picture for the crypto market during a market dip in early January, recommending his viewers exit the market.</p>



<p>Investors following the &#8216;Inverse Cramer&#8217; trend seized this opportunity to buy ethereum, leading to handsome profits when ethereum bounced back from its momentary dip during Q1 of 2023.</p>

<p>Cramer’s crypto missteps aren&#8217;t limited to bitcoin. Solana (<a href="https://crypto.news/price/solana/">SOL</a>), a <a href="https://crypto.news/learn/what-is-a-blockchain/">blockchain</a> platform touted as an &#8220;Ethereum-killer,&#8221; caught his ire. Once valued at $66 billion, it plunged to $8 billion, attracting Cramer&#8217;s scorn. </p>

<p>But Cramer&#8217;s scathing criticisms only seem to add fuel to the crypto fire, and many have profited from inversely following his advice.</p>

<p>SEC&#8217;s recent legal actions against major crypto platforms such as Binance didn&#8217;t escape Cramer&#8217;s critique. His tirade against Binance, urging its management to do some soul-searching, amplified the uncertainty around crypto regulation. </p>
