Ultiverse</h2>CARV community’s Take: a surreal VR-enabled social gaming metaverse. Terminus city is where players are empowered to conduct various economic activities to build mutually beneficial relationships. Endless Loop brings AAA quality experience for gamers to explore the sci-fi cyberpunk world and interact with 7 original humanoid characters.The story setting is one of the sauces that set Ultiverse apart. It draws inspiration from spiritual questions that are frequently asked in sci-fi books such as Dune, Blade Runner, and Ender’s Game, one of which includes: “do androids dream of electric sheep?”. Electric Sheep has been made as the genesis NFTs, 7,000 of them are given early access to jump into the conflicts among three organizations: Gangs, The Company, and World Government interact with the 7 humanoids: Ceres, Oswald, Reynold, Aaron, Giles, Eve and Sisyphus, and adventure on the journey of self-awareness awakening.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/1*w73_x3Bn2jJGdqCFyB65YA.png" />Terminus City, the metaverse of Ultiverse, is the first one that utilizes Unreal Engine 5 to feature photorealistic models and dynamic lighting. You can even own a piece of the land and build whatever you want on it.In order to make a user’s stay more immersive and vibrant, Terminus City has brought various real-life activities into it, some of them are:<ul><li>Ultimate Center: the lobby of the city and the birthplace of all players. you will pick up your quest and travel to other Ultiverse games</li><li>UExhibition and NFT gallery: where rare collectible NFTs from the Ultiverse or other metaverse (with cross-chain functionality) from both business and players are displayed. You may find your Electric Sheep there!</li><li>Bazaar: a marketplace where players trade everything including weapons, creatures, and ships that they loot from Terminus City or Endless Loop</li><li>The Arcade: game center where everyone can play their favourite minigames and be rewarded. Who doesn’t love Texas Poker?</li><li>DJ Control: DJs will host VR-immersed parties to bring the real-live music concert experience to the users.</li><li>Death Circle Bar: the most popular venue where people party, make friends, exchange secrets, and enjoy their weekend nights</li><li>Gate: the portal to Ultivers’s gamefi world. The first one is Endless Loop, an MMORPG set in a Dark Fantasy world</li></ul>In Endless Loop, there are three main features: a galaxy of countless planets, space stations built around their orbits, and the gameplay that revolves around exploring, questing, mining, and crafting.Each planet has its own unique landscapes and natural resources, on which players can build facilities to improve mining efficiency and craft gears both using the resources they collected from previous explorations and hunting.And in order to travel across the galaxies, you will be asked to work as a team with others to build space stations and also with those in-game resources. All of those in-game assets are NFTs that can be brought back to Terminus City to trade in the marketplace, through the medium of in-game currency, $SOUL. To sustain the longevity of the game, Endless Loop is structured to motivate players to team up for end-game level quests, where resources to craft higher rarity NFTs drop.Ultiverse has been fully dedicated to building an in-game economy that everyone can enjoy regardless of their investment amount, in order to attract a wider range of real gamers with different financial backgrounds.<h2 id="header-1">2. Heroes of Mavia</h2><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*8OCg0IbQDA1YSgZs" />CARV community’s Take: An AAA MMO strategy game allowing players to buy land, build a base, and battle against each other for $RUBY. It takes the best of Clash of Clans and brings it into the Web 3 world, combining high-quality graphics. Strice Studios also equips the game with a full suite of tools for an immersive experience, including live streaming and global rankings.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*hAApPcE8ZhIcTVpq" />3 types of NFT: Bases, Statues and HeroesThere are 3 main NFT assets: Bases, Heroes and Statues. All of them are vital to success in a battle.<ol><li>Bases are the core of the game and the only requirement to play the game. It is an upgradable Land NFT, which can be fostered through re-investing $RUBY.</li><li>Heroes are the likes of “super troops”, which can help players defend their land as well as attack others’ bases. They are capable of turning the entire tide of a battle.</li><li>Statues can be placed in the base to generate passive boosts, e.g. decrease cooldown timer. Each base can be equipped with a maximum of 4 Hero NFTs and 4 Statue NFTs.</li></ol><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*VmsTFZR1Orh9hMGc" />Rent, Partner or Sell BasesIn order to onboard more players, Heroes of Mavia introduced the default Heroes and F2P (free-to-play) mode in August. Four Heroes will be available and are bundled with Land NFTs without extra cost. Players can still buy additional unique Heroes to gain more powers and strategies. Due to a player base of only 10,000 NFT Lands, there is difficulty in matching players up in the pool. Thus, the F2P mode can help scale the game and boost its growth.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*oldtDg7Ti07CWGBB" />The bird’ eye view, ideal for base planning and defensive planning.Although the game is yet to be released, the team revealed a detailed sneak peek of the gameplay several days ago. Elfin Kingdom</h2>CARV community’s Take: Capture, conquer, and earn! An MMORPG with multiple game modes including PvE, PvP, Arena for Guilds and Farmlands, as well as a metaverse where players can interact and create their own adventures. it aims to become a social network, a multiple games hub, and a blockchain e-sports aggregatorIn the kingdom of elfins, players can capture them throughout their adventures on the virtual land. In order to domesticate those cute beasts, you will need to have an elfin catcher a.k.a. elfin balls, which can be obtained through official campaigns or purchased with $KING tokens. a higher rarity of elfin balls gives you a higher probability of success. you can trigger a capture event in some special bushes, where you will have 3 shots to get the elfin before it escapes.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*c_s7yHh4MsJ9ZJSr" />The elfins are diversified by class, rarity, attributes, and occupation. There are five classes that restrain one another. Water → Fire → Grass → Lightening → Water. There are also super elfins that are not restrained by other classes. Rarity, attribute, and occupation also play their part in the system. Their powers are laddered by division of rarity: N, R, SR and SSR and ratings of attribute: S, A, B, C, D. Position is specified by five basic occupations:<ul><li>Orion → Tank, attributes focused on HP and Defense</li><li>Perseus → Bucket, attributes are more balanced</li><li>Draco → Damage, attributes focused on Attack</li><li>Bazzor → Damage, attributes focused on Attack and Speed</li></ul>The development of elfins is set in 3 phases:<ul><li>Elfin Level: gain experience through PvE. the higher the elfin level the higher power of an elfin can be increased. it is the fundamental condition of upgrading training level and star level</li><li>Training Level: unlock upon reaching a certain elfin level. Will need to consume “strengthening stones” and $KING tokens but will increase the base attributes of the elfins</li><li>Star Level: also requires reaching a certain elfin level and will be consuming multiple elfins. the elfins will be evolved from the initial form to the second and final form. The growth attributes and combat ability will be significantly boosted</li></ul><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*M2bjE58ZgWq0xYEe" />In the adventure gameplay or PvE mode, there are 5 chapters with a total of 60 levels. Players will be rewarded with “strengthening stone” and “KING pieces” (swappable for $KING token) upon passing the levels. The higher levels the more rewards. On the other hand, in arena or PvP mode, elfins won’t gain experience but players win points. By ranking on top of the monthly leaderboards, players will be rewarded with $ELFIN token. it’s the only way to earn the governance token.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*2HerhHwCKbKayO7s" /><h2 id="header-3">4. STEPN</h2>CARV community’s Take: the Move-to-Earn of 2022. A lifestyle gamefi that turned many into millionaires thanks to its innovative model, but may have come to its demise. It has built a highly complex token and NFT system, which caused its downfall but also grants it the power to rise again. For now, the game can help players develop a healthy lifestyle and mentally challenge them at the same time.STEPN is a Move-to-Earn Project, meaning you can earn a profit by walking, jogging, or running. However, you do not simply convert your steps into income. Instead, you use moving activity to consume energy, and the energy consumption will be converted into earnings. STEPN utilized multiple methods, including AI step counts, to ensure that players are consuming the energies without cheating.There are multiple ways of earning in STEPN. You can directly earn $GST and $GMT through the move-to-earn mechanism. The $GST earning is determined by the shoe’s efficiency, whereas $GMT earning requires players to compete with other $GMT earners based on comfort attributes. Also, based on shoes’ luck points, players can receive mystery boxes while moving, and you can burn $GST to open the box and receive gems. In-game items are all NFTs, and you can sell them for profit.Besides moving, there are some ‘non-moving’ earning methods if chances are in your favor. Minting can be profitable if you hit double-mint or opened a next-level shoe from the boxes. Gem upgrade can be profitable if you are extremely lucky and hit a rainbow stone. Fusion takes a lot of risks but can really prosper if you hit a rainbow shoe. Whatever you do, the elements you consume or produce are all closely tied to each other, which is the uniqueness of STEPN. If everything is well-connected, then they should be able to stabilize each other right? There are a number of reasons. First, STEPN has done various updates, and each time a portion of players’ benefits were hurt. This has sabotaged the community’s trust in the team and made the community vulnerable to FUD. Combining it with lowered profits and decreasing floor prices, users started selling their assets and some even liquidate their accounts.At this exact time, the market took a turn down, and the economic model became poisonous to the project. Here we are not reiterating the fact that STEPN is a PONZI that has no external value, but to emphasize how fragile its tokenomics is in nature. The fact is, such a system is a double-edged sword that can facilitate the program but can also cause detrimental effects. When we were in a good market and the consensus to hold your assets was reached: every in-game element supported each other, which created a stronghold. When the market went down, the old consensus broke and people switched to the mindset of self-preservation: all the in-game elements still will formed a stronghold, but it is now a price resistance level. Obviously, that’s where we are now.That being said, we hold a neutral opinion on STEPN. Its tokenomics has great potential when the bull market comes back, and the FSL (Find Satoshi Lab) is working hard to add more utilities into the ecosystem. We see they are building DEX: Dooar and NFT marketplace: Mooar. But the trust is hard to regain.<h2 id="header-4">5. Tatsumeeko</h2>CARV community’s Take: A Web 3 idle strategy RPG metaverse for Discord with a focus on loot, progression, building, and community elements. Players will be transported into a vast fantasy world where they can battle, explore and create with friends.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*Ho7N5vWzy3FUMKu_" />Ever since 2015, the team pioneered the popular profile and rank cards we now see on almost every Discord levelling bot today, they have been continuously blazing the trails. As the years went by, Tatsu grew into a community project. In 2019, they decided to quit day jobs and started developing an early version of a fully mobile game on Discord. It has become the main source of revenue for Tatsu. Now the team wants to craft a living, breathing world where players can gather with their friends to build and have a true sense of ownership over their creations. Hence, they started building a metaverse with blockchain technology.The whole world is set on a continent called Steyria, which consists of 6 nations that once lived together in peace. Players will begin the journey on a peaceful island within the Federation as an ‘otherworlder’. While things are about to change due to the arrival of these otherworlders, players must forge new bonds, master the land and thwart the machinations of those who would doom it.The core feature of Tatsumeeko is party progression, in which the player’s avatar can be joined by 3 party members. They can swap different characters depending on the activities they are doing. Each party member collected will have their own progression and equipment, while the main avatar can switch freely between combat classes to suit the current lineup of your party.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*nRaB6pYQuZM1hRDt" />Apart from the main gameplay loop, it includes life skills and side activities that players can participate in with friends and communities, such as fishing, resource gathering, and farming.
