The US government transferred $922 million worth of Bitcoin from two crypto wallets that had funds seized from Bitfinex in 2016. This occurred the same day Bitcoin broke $60000 in over 2 years on Feb 28. The funds were seized after Bitfinex was hacked for BTC, worth $7.4 billion at the current price.
This comes a day after Ilya Lichtenstein, the hacker who stole and laundered $4.5 billion worth of Bitcoin from Bitfinex, appeared in a Washington court detailing how he pulled this off.
