The leading cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced its plan to list a new gaming token, BLOCKLORDS, fueling market discussions. This news has ignited excitement in the crypto market, leading to a significant price rally. Coinbase has recently shared an official statement on the X platform regarding the listing of BLOCKLORDS. The exchange confirmed support for the <a href="https://coingape.com/glossary/erc-20/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ERC-20</a> token on the Ethereum network. However, users are cautioned against sending this asset over other networks than the exchange, as it may result in the loss of funds.
The <a href="https://coingape.com/glossary/Crypto-exchange-2/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto exchange</a> announced, “Transfers for this asset are available on Coinbase and Coinbase Exchange in regions where trading is supported.” Notably, the trading is scheduled to start later today, when the liquidity conditions are fulfilled.
Meanwhile, the introduction of LRDS to the exchange will follow a phased approach. This will ensure a smooth transition as the platform establishes a sufficient supply of the asset. However, support for the new gaming token may be limited in certain jurisdictions due to regulatory restrictions.
In addition, BLOCKLORDS will carry an “experimental asset” label on the exchange for now. This label is assigned to new or low-volume assets and it aims to help customers make informed decisions by highlighting potential risks such as price volatility and canceled orders.
