<p>The Sui team launched their devnet in May 2022 however Sui mainnet is <a href="https://boxmining.com/sui-blockchain/#:~:text&#61;When%20is%20the%20Sui%20mainnet,be%20a%20Sui%20token%20airdrop%3F" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">rumoured</a> to be released in the first quarter of 2023. This means that the Sui Name Service is currently only available on the devnet. Because of this, it will only be accessible for testing, and any previously registered names will most likely be deleted after the mainnet launch.</p><p>However, this means that the Sui Name Service will be fully released when the mainnet launches. After the full release, SNS will do an airdrop after 250,000 people sign up, which will take about a month.</p><h2 id="header-1">Recipients of the Airdrop</h2><p>Three categories of people will receive the airdrop:</p><ol><li>SNS Core Team &amp; Advisors – These are members of the team who have helped build the SNS Decentralized Automated Organization (DAO) and also consultants who have given their advice on how to further maintain the system.</li><li>Early Registers – These are users who have engaged in early interaction with SNS.</li><li>Discord Roles (Stork, Stork&#43;, &amp; Super-Stork) – These are community members who have discord roles and have participated in the CREW quest by SNS.</li></ol><h2 id="header-2">Distribution Quota</h2><p>More than <a href="https://blog.sns.domains/sui-name-service-dao-2d5d37cce681" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">twenty-five percent (25%</a>) of the $SNS Token will be airdropped to the community of which five percent (5%) will be allocated “Storks”.
