<p>We are super excited to welcome Skiff to our Solana Name Service family! <a href="https://skiff.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Skiff</a> is a crypto-native, privacy-first collaboration that provides Web3 emailing, drives and docs, giving you the power to communicate freely.</p><h2 id="header-0"><strong>Skiff x the Solana Name Service</strong></h2><p>Skiff now allows you to use your .sol domain name to serve as your email address, ie. bonfida.sol&#64;solana.email, to send E2E encrypted emails. Emails can be sent or received either to other wallets (&#43;.sol domains) and/or other well-recognized mail providers such as Gmail. Thus allowing you to communicate with all addresses whether on Ethereum or Solana or any traditional emailing standard you are used to.</p><p>Who could’ve imagined? Your .sol is truly becoming your humanized metaverse ID, even extending to be your email address. We picture a world where you really would not need anything except your Solana domain name in the new wake of the Web.</p><h2 id="header-1">How do I Configure &amp; Use my <strong>.sol Email on Skiff?</strong></h2><h3 id="configuration">Configuration</h3><p>This process couldn’t be simpler, Skiff basically does all the work for you. There are two ways to go about this:</p><ol><li>If signing up with a new account, choose the Phantom wallet option and proceed with the sign-up steps</li><li>If you already have an account, go to <a href="https://app.skiff.com/signup" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Skiff</a> visit the <a href="https://app.skiff.town/mail/inbox?settingTab&#61;aliases" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">alias settings page</a> and connect your Phantom wallet. Then, your .sol domain will be auto-displayed and usable for sending and receiving to and from your inbox via &#64;solana.email</li></ol><h3 id="using-your-sol-email">Using Your .sol Email</h3><p>Your new .sol &#64;solana.email address is now usable across the web. Use it to sign up for services, communicate with other wallet addresses/ .sol domain names or for personal and professional communications. This, however, with the added touch that Skiff offers; your data remains private to you and encrypted with keys you alone own.</p><h3 id="strong-too-lazy-to-read-here-s-an-easy-video-tutorial-strong"><strong>Too lazy to read? You would have to unwrap your domain first</li><li>Upon transferring or selling one of your domains it will automatically forward emails to the new address that owns the corresponding domain.
