<h3 id="diving-into-security">Diving into security.</h3><p>We are passionate about entertainment and cryptocurrency in general, but with changing market conditions and a growing focus on HELLO we wanted to share this security update with all our supporters. The team will typically keep discussions, practices, and upgrades strictly internal to avoid informing malicious actors on any specific details about our systems. To spread awareness around the importance of security, we’ve decided to create some clarity about our latest adaptions.</p><p>Some keen observers may have noticed that ownership of the HELLO contract has recently been transferred to a new wallet.<strong> The team is still in full control of the token and the contract</strong>. The reason for the transfer was to further bolster our defences around security processes related to signing confirmations, transfers and increase the longevity of the project.</p><h3 id="strong-so-what-changes-were-made-strong"><strong>So, what changes were made?</strong></h3><p>Ownership of the HELLO contract has been transferred to a multi-signature safe. This adds an extra layer of protection as multiple team members are required to sign for any functions that are called using the contract, and any transaction of funds held by the safe. This setup is highly recommended by industry experts, like CertiK and Binance, and BNB Chain.</p><h3 id="strong-why-did-we-decide-to-take-these-security-upgrade-steps-strong"><strong>Why did we decide to take these security upgrade steps?</strong></h3><p>The crypto industry is no stranger to exploitations, mass phishing attempts and other new evolving techniques that are used by malicious actors on a daily basis. In this constant war with protecting ourselves and our interests, it’s critical to continually upgrade and evolve proactively rather than reactively.</p><p>A commonly used exploit can drain a project of all its funds. The team are no strangers to people trying to find exploits or backdoors in our systems and even through the community.
