<p>China Media Group (CMG) recently aired the inaugural episode of its groundbreaking animated series, “Qianqiu Shisong,” marking a significant milestone in the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the entertainment industry. The 26-episode series, each lasting seven minutes, showcases animated adaptations of traditional Chinese poems and verses. Produced entirely using generative AI models, the project represents a collaborative effort between CMG and the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL).</p>

<p>CMG Media GPT, the machine-learning model developed jointly by CMG and SAIL, served as the backbone of the production process. Harnessing text-to-video AI technology, the series leverages CMG’s extensive database alongside SAIL’s advanced AI algorithms to create captivating visuals reminiscent of traditional Chinese ink-wash art.</p>
<p>By employing AI at every stage of development and production, from character and scene design to video generation and post-production, the project significantly streamlines the animation process. SAIL reports that the CMG Media GPT model dramatically reduces both production time and costs, offering animation producers a cost-effective solution for high-quality content creation.</p>
