<p>America’s heavy metal band Metallica, which has 121 million album sales across 11 records, has fallen prey to crypto scammers. The X account of the legendary brand was compromised to promote a fake Solana-based meme coin with the Metal ticker. The compromised account announced that the token would be used for purchasing merchandise and gifts at Metallica events and online. It also introduced a staking feature for the token that would allow Metallica fans to earn rewards. The band became the target of crypto fraudsters after they released the ‘72 Seasons’ album.&nbsp;</p>
