<p><em><strong>Welcome to our latest Weekly Development Report, where we spotlight the valiant efforts of our development team. For ARK Connect, we have released a new version with some new features. The ARK Scan team has merged WebSockets changes to the development network and started work on EVM support for Mainsail changes. The ARK Vault team has been working on updated design changes. The Mainsail team has continued further EVM improvements, EVM JSON-RPC API and fixes.</strong></em></p><h2 id="header-0">Development Summary</h2><p>Below is a breakdown of total commits and authors by project for development activity over the last week from July 19th through July 26th, 2024.</p><img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/srd-optimized-uploads/8243881bb0724804a47852b6ab689549.png" /><p>Overall, the team has demonstrated consistent productivity and engagement over this period, with a total of 57 commits across all projects. The number of commits and data for each project will fluctuate every week depending on internal sprints, objectives, and difficulty.</p><h2 id="header-1">ARK Connect Weekly Progress</h2><p><img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/optimized-uploads/50f574279578481ba72add9067fc675c.png" /></p><p>ARK Connect team has released a new version of the extension with few new features:</p><ul><li>We’ve added support for handling QR codes to prefill the send inputs, including recipient address, amount, and memo. A button will open a modal allowing users to either drag and drop an existing image or use the ‘Upload’ button to select it from a folder. After uploading, the modal will close and the fields will be prefilled. This feature is available exclusively on Chrome.</li><li>We’ve introduced a ‘Back’ button on the approval screen, allowing users to return to the send screen if they notice an issue. Previously, users could only choose between refusing and approving, which didn’t allow for edits in case of a mistake.</li><li>Chevrons have been added to onboarding screens for easier navigation through slides without waiting for automatic cycling.</li></ul><blockquote><em><strong>For a full list of changes, please see the changelog for version 1.13.0 on <a href="https://github.com/ArdentHQ/arkconnect-extension/releases/tag/1.13.0" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">GitHub </a>.</strong></em></blockquote><p>To install or update ARK Connect for your browser, use the following links:</p><ul><li>Google Chrome: <a href="https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ark-connect/efcfcaonapdhdljmikbpmikhiklhfbhm?hl&#61;en" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Chrome Web Store </a></li><li>Mozilla Firefox: <a href="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ark-connect/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Firefox Browser Add-Ons </a></li></ul><p>Next week, we’ll continue addressing any outstanding issues and discuss ways to further improve the extension.</p><h2 id="header-2">ARK Scan Weekly Progress</h2><p>The ARK Scan team has entered the final stretch of internal testing for WebSockets. This feature has been merged into the development branch for final testing before deployment to the production network.</p><p>We have also started implementing the changes required for the EVM integration of Mainsail. This week, we focused on the address pages on the EVM explorer, adding support for Keccak addresses to ensure they are properly displayed.</p><p>Next week, our goal is to prepare the release for ARK Scan, which will include WebSockets integration, and continue working on the changes needed for full support of EVM integration for Mainsail.</p><h2 id="header-3">ARK Vault Weekly Progress</h2><p>This week, the ARK Vault team has been focusing on design changes, which will remain the main priority for the next few weeks, along with various improvements and fixes. Here’s what we have worked on:</p><ul><li>Added adjustments for the Ledger transaction review step with the updated design.</li><li>Updated the scan QR code modal (QR Modal, Alert, and Modal components have been refactored to support the new changes, and the error icon and messages have been updated).</li><li>Refactored the QR Overwrite modal to match the updated design.</li><li>Corrected margins in multipay selection.</li><li>Set up a manual snapshots workflow to update test snapshots on PRs when needed.</li></ul><p>Next week, we will continue updating the designs and fixing any other reported issues.</p><h2 id="header-4">Mainsail Weekly Progress</h2><p>This week we continued working on EVM implementation. Particularly, the work done this week includes:</p><ul><li>Implemented JSON-RPC actions:web3_clientVersion<br />net_listening<br />net_peerCount<br />eth_blockNumber<br />eth_getBalance<br /></li><li>Adjusted decimals to match EVM implementation.
