Popular third-person shooter MetalCore, developed by Studio 369, has announced its transition to the Solana blockchain for the upcoming season, slated for launch in November. Solana’s scalability and low transaction fees were key factors influencing Studio 369’s decision.

After running its first season on Ethereum’s Immutable zkEVM, MetalCore experienced delays and performance issues due to network speed and latency. These challenges prompted Studio 369 to seek a more efficient blockchain, leading to Solana as a fitting choice for achieving the game’s performance goals. 
Studio 369’s CEO, Matt Candler, highlighted Solana’s growth, high transaction capacity, and stability, which he described as ideal for MetalCore. Candler noted Solana’s ability to handle billions in transaction volume and maintain a 99.95% uptime, stating this robust infrastructure will be instrumental in the game’s development.
