Swiss equity tokenization specialist Aktionariat AG has partnered with digital asset infrastructure provider Taurus SA, according to a joint announcement today.

The collaboration aims to advance the tokenization of Swiss companies' equity and deliver advanced trading solutions through Taurus' digital exchange platform.
Under the agreement, Taurus will provide services for certain Ethereum-based tokenized shares issued by Aktionariat.
In return, Aktionariat will give client companies access to list their tokenized shares on the Taurus Digital eXchange (TDX), a platform designed for institutional and individual investors. The project is scheduled to launch in November.
The partnership aims to increase liquidity and unlock value for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing access to TDX’s network of banks, professional investors and retail clients.
Aktionariat specializes in tokenizing shares, allowing companies to offer digital assets that represent real-world value, such as equity, real estate and bonds.
One of the first firms to use this joint platform is RealUnit, a crypto-focused investment firm that tokenized its shares with Aktionariat in April 2022.
The new platform will allow RealUnit investors to choose between traditional bearer shares and Ethereum-based tokenized shares.
“Being admitted to trading on the TDX is the natural next step in our journey to increase accessibility and liquidity for our investors,” said Dani Stüssi, CEO of RealUnit Schweiz AG.
Aktionariat uses blockchain technology to connect investors with startups through tools such as Brokerbot, which enables the creation of a marketplace for tokenized shares, and a portfolio app for crypto purchases.
Taurus is a blockchain infrastructure firm focused on managing tokenized real-world assets and aims to make private equity trading as easy as buying goods online.
The partnership aligns with Taurus' vision to digitize private markets and make private capital more accessible to investors.
