<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/hut-8s-q2-2023" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Hut 8</a> Mining Corp., a leading Bitcoin miner, announced that it has secured $150 million in strategic investments from Coatue in the second quarter of 2024. The funds will be directed towards infrastructure development and expanding the company's capacities.
Coatue, managing assets worth $47 billion, is known for its investments in the technology sector and deep understanding of the artificial intelligence market. The investment in Hut 8 allows the company to strengthen its market position and execute plans to expand to 1,322 MW of owned and managed capacity.
Hut 8 CEO Asher Genoot noted that the partnership with Coatue opens new opportunities for growth and innovation. According to him, the investment will help the company accelerate the development of a next-generation energy infrastructure platform and increase its market share in mining.
