Sean “Diddy” Combs and Sam Bankman-Fried, the former crypto executive, are now sharing the same jail housing unit at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

<a href="https://crypto.news/tag/sam-bankman-fried/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bankman-Fried</a>, once a prominent figure in the crypto industry, was <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://crypto.news/sam-bankman-fried-arrested-in-the-bahamas/">arrested</a> in the Bahamas and extradited to the U.S. in December 2022. He faces multiple charges, including campaign finance violations, money laundering, securities fraud, and wire fraud.
The unit housing the two holds around 18-20 inmates and includes high-profile defendants and cooperators—individuals who may require special protection. Meanwhile, Combs, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/16/arts/music/sean-combs-diddy-indicted.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">arrested</a> on September 16 at a Manhattan hotel, remains in custody as he awaits trial.
