Over the past 24 hours, <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/immersion-cooling-transforms-chinas-crypto-mining-landscape/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">China</a>'s <a href="https://account.antpool.com/sign_up?method=2&amp;service=&amp;inviteCode=f9nZyT" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">AntPool</a> mined 31% of all new Bitcoins, discovering 42 out of 135 blocks. This allowed it to overtake U.S.-based <a href="https://ultramining.com/en/ratings/foundry/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Foundry</a> USA, which mined 36 blocks.
This shift in <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/impending-bitcoin-halving-may-trigger-major-hashrate-decline-say-experts/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hashrate</a> distribution raises concerns about centralization, as both AntPool and Foundry USA control a significant portion of the network. Experts worry about the impact of such control on Bitcoin's security and decentralization.
Over the past three years, Foundry USA remains the leader, having mined 25% of all blocks, while AntPool follows with 20.5. AntPool's increasing dominance could lead to changes in the global Bitcoin mining landscape.
