Last Friday, El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele met tech visionary Elon Musk at Tesla’s gigafactory in Austin, Texas. The two influential figures engaged in a lengthy discussion about major topics like artificial intelligence and the future of humanity, sharing their thoughts on how technology can shape our world. 
President Bukele took to X to express his enthusiasm about the meeting. He wrote, “It was a pleasure to spend several hours talking with one of the great minds of our time @elonmusk.” He even shared a short video of Musk welcoming him, showcasing the significance of their conversation.

We talked a lot about the nature of reality, the future of humanity, and how technology like AI and robotics will affect the world. El Salvador has an amazing leader.” This mutual admiration reflects their shared passion for innovation and progress. 
While Bukele didn’t disclose the exact date of his visit to the U.S., he mentioned he will be traveling to New York next week for the United Nations General Assembly. There, he plans to address global issues and El Salvador’s role in addressing them. 
This meeting highlights the intersection of technology and leadership, showcasing how two visionary leaders can collaborate to explore the future. Their dialogue raises intriguing questions about how technological advancements, particularly AI, can influence society and what this means for countries like El Salvador.
