The Texas court dismissed the lawsuit on procedural grounds without addressing the substance of the claims against the SEC. Prompting Consensys to express concern over the implications of Ether regulation.

Emphasizing that the essence of digital assets lies in decentralization. Consensys warned that <a href="https://www.sec.gov/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SEC</a> involvement could lead to overreach, placing significant regulatory burdens on exchanges and platforms. Requiring them to register with the SEC or comply with existing securities laws.
In its statement, Consensys highlighted that its <a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/us-sec-seeks-to-amend-complaint-in-ongoing-binance-lawsuit/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">lawsuit</a> exposed the SEC’s aggressive investigation into Ethereum.
