The ASI Alliance has just <a href="https://x.com/ASI_Alliance/status/1800535602380574839" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">announced</a> a delay in the ASI token merger of FET, AGIX, and OCEAN. 
In an official message via X, the team noted that the Alliance is dedicated to the successful and seamless integration of the anticipated token manager. 
According to the announcement, SingularityNET, FetchAI, and Ocean Protocol have announced a revised date for the ASI token merger. They moved the date from June 13 to July 15, 2024. 
The reports note that the schedule adjustment is necessary in order to accommodate the logistical requirements and technical dependencies of exchanges, validators, and the broader ecosystem collaborators. 
The preparation phase for the token mergers involved managing a lot of complex integrations, careful coordination, and attention to various moving parts. 
All these third-party dependencies are vital to the smooth execution of the token merger process. All stakeholders’ needs have to be adequately met.

Originally the plan was for FET to be renamed <a href="https://crypto.ro/en/news/asi-alliances-asi-token-merger-of-fet-agix-ocean-completes-on-june-13/">ASI</a> today, June 11, followed by the merger completion on June 13. Now, it has been revealed that on July 15, FET, AGIX, and OCEAN will merge into the new ASI token. 
The existing FET, AGIX, and OCEAN tokens will continue to trade on exchanges independently. 
Once third-party integrations are finalized, the ASI token will be launched and the three tokens will cease to trade independently and merge into ASI. 
<h2 id="support-guidance-and-official-statements">Support, guidance, and official statements</h2> 
Support will be offered on the official FET, AGIX, and Ocean channels and the ASI channel as well. 
Token contracts, migration contracts, and potential audits will be shared this week. 
Humayun Sheikh, CEO of Fetch.ai and chairman of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance said that the new date is due to necessary adjustments by their partners, but the commitment and vision driving this alliance remain strong. 
He also noted that this temporary delay does not affect the progress that they have made in creating a decentralized AI network. He also offered gratitude to all the parties involved in the project. 
Ben Goertzel, founder and CEO of SingularityNET Foundation and CEO of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance said that they are currently working through the complexities of executing this unprecedented tokenomic merger and they have advanced toward integration of their AI and blockchain technologies. 
Goertzel said that July 15 will be a huge milestone for the project and the parties involved are moving towards increasingly capable AI systems, an actual superintelligence. 
Bruce Pon, founder and CEO of Ocean Protocol and board director of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance Council said that they appreciate the community’s patience and look forward to a combined ASI token. 
Token holders have been assured that there’s no action required on their part at the moment. No further delays are anticipated.
