Keith Gill, known as “Roaring Kitty” on X and “DeepF*ckingValue” on social media platforms, is on the verge of becoming a billionaire as GameStop ($GME) stock soars. After-hours trading saw <a href="https://news.todayq.com/gamestop-frenzy-returns-roaring-kitty-fuels-72-gme-surge/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">GME shares</a> rising to the $67.50 price mark which eventually positions Gill for a massive financial windfall if the stock opens at or above this level. Data suggests that if GameStop’s stock maintains its current price then Gill’s equity and options positions will be valued at approx $325 million and $700 million respectively. The cumulative amount would turn out to be around $1 billion.&nbsp;
Should Gill decide to execute these options, he would control around 6.3% of GameStop’s public float. The surge has also inflicted major losses on short sellers factoring in both regular and after-hours trading.
Market analysts and retail traders are closely monitoring Gill’s positions with an anticipating that he might surpass the billion dollar mark by Friday. Gill had displayed a $583 million position on Reddit on Thursday. This reflects $382 million in profits across his equity and options holdings. GME’s stock surged 47% to $46 yesterday and hit $61 in after-hours trading. However, GME is trading up by 32% in the pre-market hours. What does the numbers say?&nbsp; 
Reddit followers quickly crunched the numbers and calculated that a $9 increase in GME’s stock price would push Gill’s holdings over the billion-dollar threshold. Polymarket has seen a surge in bets on Gill achieving billionaire status by Friday. The market titled “Roaring Kitty billionaire by Friday?” has added $120,000 in bets, with “yes” odds reaching 50%.
This market will resolve to “yes” if Gill announces or shows a brokerage position valued at least $1 billion by 11:59 PM ET tonight, using information from Gill or his known social accounts as the source.
On the crypto side, GameStop rip-off meme coin GME recorded a major jump of 150% in the last 24 hours. It is a crypto based on Solona paying tribute to the 2021 short squeeze of GameStop. Its price has surged by around 4000% in the past 30 days.
It is trading at an average price of $0.028, at the press time. Its 24 hour trading volume is up by 350% to stand at $429 million with a market cap of $194 million. This surge definitely helped the meme coin market to recover.
