<p>A recent report from The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) underscores the potential threat posed by AI-generated content in the political arena. Using generative AI tools, the nonprofit created images depicting US President Joe Biden in a hospital bed and election workers destroying voting machines. These fabricated images raise concerns about the spread of misinformation and the erosion of electoral integrity.</p>
<p>According to CCDH researchers, the dissemination of AI-generated images as ‘photo evidence’ could amplify the proliferation of false claims, posing a substantial challenge to safeguarding the integrity of elections, including the upcoming US presidential election in November.</p>
