Revolut, a European banking fintech, has exciting plans in the world of crypto. They are gearing up to list Bonk, the biggest meme coin associated with <a href="https://news.todayq.com/solanas-network-halt-explained-is-sol-safe/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Solana blockchain</a>. This is part of a broader initiative where Revolut intends to run a campaign worth $1.2 million. This campaign aims to incentivize its users to learn more about this digital currency. Supporters of the memecoin aim to grow the meme coin’s user base by 500,000. What does the Revolut campaign aim? 
However, before launching this campaign, Revolut needs approval from BONK’s governing council. The council is responsible for overseeing the project’s financial reserves, which comprises over $100 million worth of BONK tokens. At present, the approval vote is on the brink of reaching quorum. Six out of the council’s 12 members have voted in favor of the proposal, with none opposing it. There’s a positive anticipation among participants that the vote will pass smoothly.&nbsp;
Adding Bonk to Revolut is a big deal for the meme coin. The memecoin became more popular and accepted by more people who trade. The year 2023 ended on a high note for Bonk, with its price skyrocketing by a staggering 19,000% since November 1st, as reported by CoinMarketCap. This surge in price, interested major exchanges like <a href="https://news.todayq.com/crypto-stocks-roar-coinbase-microstrategy-following-bitcoins-lead/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Coinbase</a> and Binance. Bonk initially emerged as a token created by Solana blockchain enthusiasts in response to <a href="https://news.todayq.com/sim-swapping-scam-cost-ftx-400m-three-charged-by-doj/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">FTX’s</a> November 2022 implosion. It was intended to inject some positivity into the Solana ecosystem during a challenging period. Since then, the memecoin has evolved into Solana’s largest meme coin. Widely utilized by various applications within the Solana network as an incentive mechanism.
Revolut’s plan to distribute BONK tokens to its users as a reward for learning about the coin through the app is a strategic move. This distribution is part of the broader $1.2 million campaign aimed at expanding Bonk’s user base. The proposal being voted on by BONK’s council entails earmarking 93 billion BONK tokens for the learning campaign.
The memecoin’s current price is $0.00001419 per token, with a 12.44% increase in the past day. It has a market cap of $898.51 million and a 24-hour trading volume of $206.77 million, ranking 79th in market cap and 46th in trading volume. With a circulating supply of 63.33 trillion BONK tokens and a total supply of 93.62 trillion, Bonk’s availability and market value indicate significant interest among investors, especially with its proposed listing on Revolut’s platform and the $1.2 million campaign.
